Following up the success of it's 2010 debut, in 2012 the Hip Hop Hudna (Ceasefire) reunited to create the “Borderline Remix”: a transnational Hip H'Opera on migration and the right to asylum. Heartbeat, The Willy Brandt Center in Jerusalem, and ActiveVision, have joined forces to create this cutting edge, reality inspired opera. Israeli, Palestinian, German, and African musicians, film-makers, and dancers will explore and voice experiences of forced migration, the quest for home, and investigate the human right of asylum. Preparations for the Hip H'Opera began with a desert retreat for the musicians and film-makers in February 2012 and will continue until August 2012, when the Hip Hop Crew, Addikts, from Manheim, Germany, joins Heartbeat and ActiveVision in Jerusalem. The performance will debut in Germany in late-August.
